What is Empowerment Coaching?

Empowerment Coaching is a partnership between the coach and the client. It blends together Mindset Coaching (a means of helping the client better understand and navigate her thoughts and feelings) and Lifestyle Coaching (a means of helping the client examine and redefine her habits, behaviors, and goals). Empowerment Coaching is essentially a way to assist the client in becoming more in touch with her internal world, influences, and power, to help shape her external reality. Empowerment coaching focuses on where the client is in life, and where she is going. Its aim is to help the client set goals, make assessments about her current reality, determine options for success, and take actionable steps to accomplish her goals. 

What Empowerment Coaching is NOT. . . 

Empowerment Coaching is not the same as counseling, mentoring, or therapy. There will not be much emphasis on the client's past in the coaching program. Additionally, the coach's role is not to provide the client with all the answers, but to help her discover the process and steps necessary to achieve the goals she sets. The coach may be on a different journey/path in her own life, and although she and the client's path may share similarities, the coach's goal is not to provide the client with solutions that have proven successful in her own life. The coach is to help the client discover answers within herself, that will assist her on her journey to living an empowered life.
